- Heppler Viscometer VR-2110
This device is used to measure the viscosity of oils, paints, etc., and is also called a falling-ball viscometer. The sample is kept at a certain temperature and a steel ball with a known coefficient is dropped in an inclined sample tube. The time taken for the ball to pass a certain distance is measured with a stopwatch, and the viscosity (mPa･s) of the material is derived from the passing time.
